a focus on
All of us have values and beliefs that are impacted and transformed by our lived-experiences, family systems, and societal expectations and norms.
But at the centre of us all, are our core values.
Sometimes they just need to be rediscovered.
We’ll work together to reclaim your sense of self, guiding you to new patterns, and a return to your authentic self.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I adhere to the best-practice standards rooted in current evidence-based research and supported by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Relying on current methods of practice such as such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and self-compassion and acceptance, I work with each client to create a plan to address their specific needs and work collaboratively to create lasting change that is aligned with their core values.
Located in Slocan Valley, Katie practices in Castlegar, British Columbia and is available to all BC residents 19+ for online sessions .
Take the leap!
Change is in your reach and I can help you get there.
Therapy is an on-going process; however, a guiding principle of my practice is to empower my clients to lean into their core values and use that strength to create new patterns and a better sense of self to guide future behaviour and choices.
A fundamental tenet of my practice is for clients to leave feelings empowered and grounded in their authentic selves.
